Blake McCollum, whose image is posted above, received an Honorable Mention in the College Single Image category in the 2011 PIEA International Photography Competition. Steven Joshin also was accepted into the exhibit but I do not have an image from him as of yet. As soon as I do I will post it. Steven received 3rd Place in Digitally Constructed category.The judges spent six hours looking at almost 5700 entries and selected 88 individuals for the traveling shows - There will be 2 traveling shows - one through the US and one through Australia. I am still getting data but I know they competed with students from India, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Guatemala, Australia and Canada. I am so impressed with these students and all the students who entered the PIEA competition.
Remember you have to enter competitions to get in!! Blake and Steven knew this and did it - you can to.
