Poolside Series is Sponsored by the Mississippi Arts Commission

In the summer of 2010 Mississippi Arts Commission granted me a 2010-2011 Artist Fellowship Grant. The funding provide the supplies and time to explore the Poolside Series. The Pool Shadows [sample image above] and Dark Flight are two projects that are beginning to emerge from Poolside. Both of the new series are in the early stages of development--Only time will tell if they will mature to the desired level for success.
The Mississippi Arts Commission was founded in 1968 and has been a leading force for fostering the Arts in Mississippi. Mississippi has a rich history in the Arts - a fact that is often overshadowed by other issues from civil rights to obesity. Just think of it Mississippi has given us B.B.King, Elvis Presley, William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Walter Inglis Anderson, George Ohr, Eudora Welty, Jim Henson, Morgan Freeman and so many more!
